We left Lake
Ohau today bound for Omarama. Todays cycle started with a 300m climb up to
Tarnbrae High Point of 904m above sea level. This was Rachel’s first Grade 3
climb and it is not that easy even with very favourable winds. It was hard work
getting to the top. The views from the top are great, but the descent down to
the other side was simply awesome, the track is in good condition so you can open up
and have fun. Rachel had me in laughs as she clearly demonstrated the advantages
of not having clipless pedals. On the way to Omarama we took a detour to the
Clay Cliffs, this little detour is well worth it as you can get up and close to the cliffs.
