What a day, started off at Anatoki Fish farm a great way to start the day, we did some fishing got two salmon we had some sashimi got the rest smoked ready for a salmon feast in the next few days. It was then in for a coffee at Takaka before the big climb on the day going back over the Takaka hill. The ride is about 28km to get to the hill it took ages to get to the hill, I think a lot was knowing what was coming. The hill did not disappoint going back over still a hard climb. The ride down was awesome. We were very fortunate to stay at Riwaka River Estate for the night the is right at the bottom of the climb so not a big day in the saddle but a big day in every other aspect. Fishing, coffee, big climb, wine at a the vineyard and sleeping on the vineyard. A great day.
