Today was going to be a hard day. From the Riwaka River Estate to Murchison . I followed the river Motueka river up the road on the west side for 40km. A break at Tapawera then it was pretty much nothing between there and Murchison, there was a 15km gravel section, but hard part was coming back on to SH6 with 40KM down to Murchison it should be all downhill from there except the wind was blowing. I was struggling to keep a 20Km per hour average, so that last 40km all down hill took me 2 hours. The reward at the end is that I was able to take a dip in the Buller river at the end of the day. In all a long day in the saddle.
