I left Twizel for trip to Mt Cook the hermitage to have a quick bit to eat, it is a long trip for lunch I tell you. So the last three days Crown Range, Lindis Pass, and now Mt Cook Village I have done pretty well. It was bloody cold this morning, I had to stop in Twizel to buy a pair of gloves with fingers to keep my finders warm before doing the ride. The trip involved a long ride next to Lake Pukaki which is just stunning the colour of the water is just so unique. Surprisingly the road up to Mt Cook village is not that hard it more rolling all the way up. The day was overcast so I did not get any good views of Mt Cook, it was a good trip. Lunch was in the cafe Pie, Coffee and Cake simple but yum. Tomorrow I am off to Tekapo tomorrow to pickup Rachel for the start of the Alps to Ocean Cycle.
