Day 5 is a ferry across to Coromandel then out to Thames. This will follow the course of the infamous K2 Cycle which is one of new Zealand toughest one day cycles. The road between Coromandel and Thames will include the climbs Manaia Hill at 181m and Kereta Hill at 228m only two big climbs for the day both with spectacular backdrops.
